Maria Thaler, age 93 of Vineland, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

Maria was born in Trento, Italy to the late Valeria (Maccani) and Evaristo Zadra. She married Ivan Thaler in 1957, together they immigrated to Vineland, New Jersey in 1958 and shared 66 years of love and marriage. Maria was employed by the Vineland Board of Education until her retirement in 1994.

She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Ierta Zadra, brother Italo Zadra, sister-in-law Emilia Zadra and by her son Robert Thaler.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband Ivan Thaler. Her sister Dora Zadra of Italy, her son Ivan W. Thaler (Tammy) and her daughter Roberta Padovani (Anthony). Along with 6 grandchildren; Amanda Carey (Doug), Alessandro Padovani (Jessica), Victoria Jeannette (Justin), Cristina Padovani (Anthony), Michael Thaler and Valerie Thaler. 3 great-grandchildren; Isabella Carey, Charlotte Carey and Christian Padovani. 3 step-grandchildren; Richard Hutton (Taylor), Mark Hutton (Genevieve) and Lonna Thurman (Josh). She is also survived by 2 nephews; Marco and Enrico Zadra of Italy and numerous relatives in America and Italy.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, NJ on Saturday, Sept. 7th from 10:00 – 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:15 am. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Rd. Vineland, NJ.
