Marie Ann Miller, 90, of Vineland, New Jersey, passed away in the early morning hours of December 18, 2023, at Cooper University Hospital following a stroke.

Born to Charles and Sarah Holding (Loper) on May 1, 1933, in Bridgeton, Marie was a lifelong resident of the area. She grew up attending Bank Elementary School, Bridgeton Middle School, and Bridgeton High School. Her career journey began at New Jersey Bell Telephone as an operator, after which she took a pivotal role at Glass-Tron, specializing in the production of medical-grade glass. Her innovative approach in manufacturing processes significantly boosted production and efficiency in her department which she was always very proud of.

Marie's personal life was as fulfilling as her professional one. She married Leroy Miller on May 19, 1956, after a romantic encounter at the Grove Tavern in Vineland, NJ, on New Year's Eve of 1955. Together, they raised a loving family of four children. Even amidst her busy career, Marie was an exemplary figure of hard work and dedication to her family.

Following her retirement, Marie found joy in tending to her yard, especially mowing her own grass, nurturing her gardens and azalea bushes, and embracing her role as the family's matriarch.

She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Julia Wallen and Susan Smith; her children, Jeffrey Miller, Eric Miller, Laura Miller, and Karen Fields; her grandchildren, Christopher Miller, Brian Fields, and Renee Fields; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy Miller; her brother, Robert Holding; and her grandson, Jason Miller.

Marie's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony.

The Miller family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Cooper University Hospital for their compassionate care, and to the many friends and relatives who have offered their support during this time.
