Marilyn E. Thompson, age 87 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at home after an extended illness. Marilyn was born in Lynhurst, NJ to the late Herbert and Mary (Swarner) Cutter, she has been a resident of Vineland the past 27 years. Marilyn was a graduate of Washington Bible College and a Sunday School teacher at various churches. Marilyn was a homemaker and attended the First Baptist Church of Newfield. She enjoyed sewing, flowers and sharing time with her family. Marilyn was predeceased by 3 sisters; Isbella Fahr, Beverly Allred and Shirley Mulder, and by her brother Herbert Cutter. Marilyn is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Rev. Alexander Thompson of Vineland. Her son, Alexander Thompson Jr. of Vineland and her 2 daughters; Marilyn Fitzhugh of Vineland and Lorna Miles of Clarksville, Tenn. Also by her grandson, Timothy Durham of Clarksville, Tenn. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6th at 10:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. David Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Hopewell Twp. Family and friends may gather on Thursday from 9:00 - 10:00 am at the Funeral Home.
