IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marta P
Perez
January 1, 1940 – February 12, 2026
With profound faith and sorrow, we announce that Marta Pascual Perez was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 12th, in Vineland, New Jersey, surrounded by her loving family.
Marta was born on January 1, 1940, in Cárdenas, Cuba, to her devoted parents, Margot and Alejandro Pascual. She was educated at Colegio Presbiteriano La Progressiva in Cárdenas, where she formed lifelong friendships and met the love of her life, her late husband, Juan Jose Perez. Their marriage was blessed with deep love, enduring faith, and devotion to family.
Marta was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her cherished husband, Juan Jose Perez; and her son-in-law, William Vant. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, Marta M. Vant, Ruth Perez, and Juan L. Perez; her treasured grandchildren, Timothy Vant and Lauren Perez; her dear sister, Margarita Betancourt; her brother, Alex Pascual and his wife, Gloria; and ten nieces and nephews who will continue to honor her memory.
A devoted educator, Marta earned her teaching certification in Matanzas, Cuba. Teaching was not simply her profession but her calling. After coming to the United States, she continued working toward her Bachelor of Arts degree while faithfully balancing work, raising her family, and serving her church community. Her perseverance, dedication, and unwavering faith were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Marta lived in Torrance, California; Bayamón, Puerto Rico; and Miami, Florida. Yet it was in Vineland, New Jersey, that she planted her deepest roots and found her true home.
Until her final days, Marta embodied kindness, grace, and compassion. She delighted in God's miracles, cherished her family and friends, and expressed sincere gratitude to everyone around her. Her life was a testament to steadfast faith, humble service, and unconditional love. A lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, she leaves behind a beautiful example of Christian devotion and a heart that reflected Christ's light.
Though we grieve her earthly passing, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and take comfort in knowing she now rests in the presence of her Savior.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
