Martin Diaz, 83, passed away on June 24, 2024. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, to the late Cayteno Diaz and Anastacia Rivera. Martin moved to Vineland, New Jersey, in the mid 1950's and worked at Progresso Foods for 38 years.

Martin had three daughters: Martina Diaz, Tanya, and Tashia Evans. He was a proud grandfather of five beautiful grandchildren: Jasayde Holder, Braylon Brooks, Carmine Bermudez, Thomas, and Eva Russell.

Martin is survived by his five brothers: Juan (Juangito), Pablo (Tata) from Vineland. Francisco (Mayito) from Chicago. Manuel and Pedro from Puerto Rico. Five sisters: Martina (Cuca), Emma, Dominga (Lula) and Ana (Anita) from Vineland, and Carmen from Georgia. Martin had many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Martin was predeceased by his siblings: Santa, Josefina (Fina),  Paulina, Francisca, Jose, Eugenio, and Antero (Tero). And also by his granddaughter: Jasayde Holder.

Martin enjoyed hanging out at Benny's "Pool Room," which was located on the Blvd in his younger years, playing spades, dice, and dominoes with his friends. He was the life of the party. He loved to dance to his Spanish music and would always tell jokes. He truly enjoyed making people laugh.

Martin will be remembered for his love, kindness, dedication, and sense of humor by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 9:00 - 11:00 am. Following the service, Martin will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
