Mary Eliza DeMary (nee Eason), age 89, of Franklinville, NJ after an extended illness, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

During her progressively successful professional nursing career at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland, NJ, she encouraged and mentored many. Even in retirement, she continued to stress the importance of education to all who sought her guidance. She was a role-model for many, as she obtained her nursing degree and professional certifications after her marriage and motherhood to nine children.

Mary was born to Donnie H. and Mattie M. Eason (nee Jenkins) in Ahoskie, NC. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Roy Eason and has a loving sister Elizabeth Dora Wilson (nee McGlohon) of Lewiston, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde H. DeMary and two of her sons Donnie H. DeMary of Culver City, Ca and Jerry DeMary of Franklinville, NJ.

She is survived by her 3 sons Clyde H. DeMary, Dr. Thomas Dennis DeMary (Nancy) and Michael S. DeMary, 4 daughters; Decie Lorraine DeMary, Phyllis C. Redd (Harry), Sylvia DeMary and Mary Elisa DeMary, many nieces, nephews and cousins, grand-children, great grand-children and great-great-grandchildren, colleagues and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11 ^th at 1:30 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Family and friends may gather from 1:00 – 1:30, prior to the service.  Interment will take place at Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
