Mary "Marie" (Gubitosi) Simon, age 85 of Vineland, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 3, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Marie was born December 25, 1930 in Newfield, to the late Gaetano and Adelina (Di Iorio) Gubitosi and lived in Vineland most of her life. Marie was a graduate of Vineland High School Class of 1949 and soon after a graduate of Wilfred Beauty Academy in Philadelphia. She owned and operated, The Looking Glass Beauty Salon for over fifty years.  Her outgoing personality and love of life was shared by all her friends and family.

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Gerald M. Simon of Vineland. Four siblings, Charles Gubitosi of Naples, Florida, Albert Gubitosi and his wife Helen, Concetta Gubitosi and Adeline Gubitosi, all of Vineland. Two nieces, Stephanie Lenchinsky and her husband Bill of Montclair, NJ., and Paula Mayo and her husband Dan of Vineland. One great-niece, Alexandra Lenchinsky and two great-nephews, Austin and Harrison Mayo.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Josephine Fiorentino and her husband Carmine and Carmela Gubitosi. Also sister-in-law, Angela Gubitosi and her nephew, Charles Gubitosi.

Services and inurnment will be private in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mausoleum, Mays Landing.
