Mercedes Oquendo-Concepcion, age 68 of Vineland passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Mercedes was born in San Lorenzo, P.R. to the late Santiago and Ambrosia (Concepcion) Oquendo and lived in Vineland most of her life. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a Home Health Aide for Cumberland Homemakers of Millville for over 10 years. She enjoyed gardening and sharing time with family and friends. Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Daniel Davila, her son, Angel M. Matos and daughter, Margarita Davila and her fiancé Tywone, all of Vineland. Also one grandson, Ray Shaun Steward at home, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18th at 11:00 AM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Visitation hours are 9:30-11:00 AM Saturday prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
