Migdalia "Miggie" Turner age 53 of Glassboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 10th 2017 at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Washington Township, NJ
Migdalia was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to Jaime and Migdalia (Agront) Roman-Natal and was raised in Camden before moving to Glassboro. She was employed by Rowan University for over 12 years. Miggie was a founding member of the Latina Hispanic Network (TLHN). The organization creates opportunities for Latina students and professionals to network, socialize and engage in activities and conversations geared to social, personal and professional enrichment. Miggie was loved by the Glassboro community. Kids called her "Mom" and she was part of the "Village Grandma". She was actively involved at St. Bridget University Parish and part of the Hispanic Council. She was a strong independent lovely woman and a role model to many people. She was a part of everyone's life whether they were friends, families, co-workers or students.
Survivors include two children, Sydney Marie Turner and Michael Weldon Turner, both of Cherry Hill. Her mother, Migdalia Agront and one grandson, Demarco Nathaniel Turner. Eight brothers, Jaime Natal, Jason Natal, Jimmy Natal, Christopher Natal, Timothy Natal, Edmund Natal, Brian Natal and Roy Natal and 5 sisters, including her twin, Magdalena Natal-Fennal, Rosemary Natal, Jaime Natal Kennedy, Iris Natal and Bryanna Natal. Also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM from St. Bridget University Parish 125 Church St. Glassboro, NJ 08028. Interment will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Sunday from 7:30-9:30 PM and again on Monday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Miggie may be made to St. Bridget University Parish. Please include "Ministry" on memo line of check.
Arrangements are by the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, Vineland.
