Miguel DeLeon Sr.

September 29, 1936-December 12, 2023

Miguel "Mike" DeLeon Sr., age 87 of Vineland, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. His battle with different medical issues in recent years demonstrated his strength and willpower.  Despite his pain and suffering, Miguel persevered and stayed strong until the end.

Miguel met the love of his life, Albertina, while at work at John Pepper Food Company.  It was love at first sight as he was her boss.  They got married and had been married for 54 years.

Miguel was a chef at Caesars Casino for 24 years.  He had a passion for cooking and everyone enjoyed his cooking.

Miguel is survived by his adoring wife, Albertina.  He was a proud father to his son Miguel Jr. and his wife Zory, and his daughter Christine and her husband Tayseer. He was honored to have 5 grandsons: Miguel III, Christian, Tristan, Noah, and Jacob, a step-granddaughter Cassandra, and one beautiful great-granddaughter Eliana.

Family and friends may gather for the viewing on Friday, December 15th from 10:00-11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Miguel will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, following the service.
