Milagros Velez, 64 years old, passed away on September 1, 2023.

Milagros was born in Maricao, Puerto Rico on September 2, 1959 to Miguel A Velez and Angelita Perez.  She attended Francisco Vicenti school where she completed her 8th grade.  Milagros lived in New York and then moved to Vineland, New Jersey. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her son Jose Martin Soto and her partner Jose Velez. She embraced every moment with them. Milagros attended Prayer Warrior Ministry where she was the President Council of the Church. Milagros was a spiritual woman who loved giving spiritual guidance to whoever needed it. She loved sewing and knitting. Specially, making hand wash towels for her friends and family.

She is survived by her sisters Nilda E. Velez, Myrna E. Velez, Virna V. Velez, and many nieces and nephews. Milagros will be deeply missed by her family and friends and all who knew her.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. The viewing will be on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am, prior to the service.

Milagros Vélez, de 64 años, falleció el 1 de septiembre de 2023.

Milagros nació en Maricao, Puerto Rico el 2 de septiembre de 1959, hija de Miguel A Vélez y Angelita Pérez.  Asistió a la escuela Francisco Vicenti donde completó su 8º grado. Milagros vivió en Nueva York y luego se mudó a Vineland, Nueva Jersey. Ella era una madre dedicada ante todo. Ella atesoraba a su hijo José Martín Soto y a su compañero José Vélez. Ella abrazó cada momento con ellos. . Milagros asistió al Ministerio de Guerreros de Oración donde fue Presidenta del Concilio de la Iglesia. Milagros era una mujer espiritual a la que le encantaba dar guía espiritual a quien lo necesitaba. Le encantaba coser y tejer, especialmente haciendo toallas de lavado a mano para sus amigos y familiares.

Le sobreviven sus hermanas Nilda E. Vélez, Myrna E. Vélez, Virna V. Vélez y muchas sobrinas y sobrinos. Milagros será profundamente extrañada por su familia y amigos y todos los que la conocieron.

El funeral se llevará a cabo el jueves 7 de septiembre de 2023 a las 11:00 a. m. en la funeraria Wainwright-Bernhardt, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio de Siloam, Vineland. El velorio será el jueves de 10:00 a 11:00 am, antes del servicio.
