Mildred Ortiz, age 60 of Vineland, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at home. Mildred was born in Queens, NY to the late Bonifacio and Maria Mercedes (Soto) Ortiz and was a resident of Vineland for most of her life. Mildred was a graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1972. She was employed by Progresso Foods in the Quality Control department for 13 years. After graduating from Lincoln Technical School, Mildred also worked for Hewlett Packard in computer repairs. She was a member of the Cumberland County Community Church of Millville. Mildred enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles and salsa music. She loved her dog Toto and her cats. Mildred is survived by her friend, Marlene DeVito of Vineland. 2 brothers; Guillermo Perales of Clovis, N.M. and Abraham Ortiz of Deerfield Beach, Fl. 3 sisters; Lucy Perales of Clovis, N.M., Iris Ortiz of Deerfield Beach, Fl. and Aida Beaudry and Thomas of Matawan, NJ. Also by several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 8th at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will be private. The viewing will be on Thursday from 12:00-1:00 pm at the funeral home.
