Mildred Elizabeth Schaser-Pleis, age 91 of Vineland passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 in Genesis ElderCare; Millville Center. Mildred was one of ten children, born and raised in Dorothy to the late Andrew and Frances (Tepel) Richert. She married George R. Schaser of Vineland in 1943. They raised five children together and Mildred was a devoted mother and wife until her husband George passed away in 1976. After his passing she worked for Colonial Applicator of Vineland until her retirement. Mildred was a member of the Eastern Star of New Jersey for 57 years. In 1981, she married William Pleis of Delmont, New Jersey until his passing in 2007. In addition to her two husbands, she was predeceased by brothers, Charlie, Frank and George Richert and sisters, Violet East, Florence Allen and Lillian Jordan. She is survived by her children, George Schaser Jr., of Vineland, Karen Basich of Lakeland, Fla., Charles A. Schaser and Fred S. Schaser, both of Vineland and John W. Schaser of Milmay. Also her sisters, Beatrice Davidson of Texas, Edith Winzinger of West Palm Beach, Fla, and Ethel Josephson of Salem and 9 Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Grandchildren that miss her dearly. Mildred was loved by everyone and she was the best mother in the world. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7th at 10:00 AM from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
