Nancy (Pennino) Carlson Putiri, 88, of Vineland, died peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2017.   She was a devoted mother to four, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of four – happiest when she was with her family.

Nancy was born in Vineland to the late Olive (Browne) and Charles Pennino, on December 16, 1928. She attended Vineland public schools, graduating from Vineland High School in 1946.  She married the love of her life, Wallace Carlson on November 13, 1948, leaving Vineland to follow their dreams and begin their family. After his death in 1969, Nancy returned to Vineland with her two youngest sons and became a working mom, working for several local businesses.

Nancy enjoyed needlework, arts & crafts, scrapbooking, reading, and crossword puzzles.   She'll be remembered for her tenacity, laugh, and smile.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Jane Tasso and Eleanor Totten; her husband, Wallace Carlson; and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Carlson.

She is survived by her children: Glenn Carlson and his wife, Elizabeth; Karen Mott; Craig Carlson; and Dewey Carlson and his wife, Leslie.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
