Our beloved mother Nellie Echevarria, age 60, of Minotola, New Jersey passed away peacefully Monday, October 31, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Nellie grew up in Minotola, a town she loved and where most of her family resided. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.  Nellie loved reading her bible, she had a sense of humor like no other and really enjoyed seeing others laugh. Her fun and joyous spirit was contagious to all who enjoyed her presence. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.

She was a warrior throughout life, fought the good fight and now has joined her parents (pre-deceased) Ishmael and Dionisia (Cruz) Echevarria, siblings (pre-deceased): Ishmael (Junior) Echevarria, Gladys Hernandez, Edison (Moto) Echevarria, and Eunice (Tita) Rivera in heaven.

She is survived by many loving individuals, including her four children: Edwina A. Melendez (Omar), Erica Andino (Omar), Nicky M. Silva-Morales (Jamil), and Georgie L. Silva; and her amazing 14 grandchildren. Her beloved siblings: Lucas Noel Echevarria, Nancy Echevarria, Agnes Padilla, Daisy Echevarria, Henry Echevarria (Evelyn), Evelyn Perez, Miriam Echevarria, Edwin Echevarria, Socorro (Sukie) Ruiz (Carlos), and brother in law Pablo Rivera; and an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, NJ 08360 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Edwin Echevarria officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Ave. Vineland. Family and Friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
