Nellie E. Speranza, age 91 of Vineland, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 at home.

Nellie was born in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Wesley and Clara (Phipps) Grubb and was a resident of Vineland for most of her life. Prior to retirement, Nellie was a Glass Packer for Owens-Illinois Glass Co. of Vineland for over 25 years. She loved gardening, word finds, puzzles and music, especially Elvis. Nellie was an avid Jeopardy watcher and cherished the time shared with family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel S. Speranza Sr. in 2000 and 2 sons, Jeffrey Speranza and Samuel S. Speranza Jr. in 2010.

Nellie is survived by her 2 loving children; Michelle Italiano and her husband Sam of Monroeville and Randy L. Speranza (Bonnie Davenport) of Vineland. 6 Grandchildren; Michael Italiano and his wife Carey, Anthony Italiano, Kim Speranza, Jessica Wadden and her husband Jason, Nick Italiano and his fiancé Emma and Carissa Speranza and her fiancé Gabe. Along with her 5 great-grandchildren; Samuel, Dylan, Jackson, Enzo and Luciana.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 15th at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Karen W. Bernhardt officiating. Family and friends may gather on Monday from 10:00-11:00 am. Following the service, Nellie will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rosenhayn.
