Nelson "Macho" Javier Figueroa, age 24 of Newark and formerly of Vineland, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at St. Michael's Hospital, Newark, NJ.

Nelson was born in Atlantic City, NJ and was a resident of Vineland for most of his life before moving to Newark 6 months ago. He was a graduate of Vineland High School with the Class of 2014 and enjoyed reading and playing video games.

Nelson is survived by his mother, Genoveva Rodriguez of Vineland and his father, Nelson Figueroa of Egg Harbor City, NJ. His son Leon Figueroa and his 3 sisters; Fansisca Viola and Jessica Rodriguez, both of Vineland and Virrelly Figueroa of Orlando, FL., his 2 brothers; Franklin Jimenez of Vineland and Christopher Almodoval of FL. Maternal grandparents, Nancy Panell and Israel Rodriguez and paternal grandparents Emilia Santiago and Santo Figueroa. Along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 26th at 7:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. The viewing will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, interment will be private.
