POWERS – Norma Helen, age 90, of Barnegat, NJ, died on January 25, 2022, of natural causes.

Norma was born and raised in Brooklyn to the late Joseph and Margaret (Grace) Catchpole, lived on Long Island (Riverhead, Lindenhurst, Wantagh) before relocating to Mays Landing, NJ in 1966. Norma was an accomplished bookkeeper who worked for Schwarzman's in Vineland/Millville and retired from Spencer Gifts after 19 years there. Norma was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mizpah Fire Department, Past President of the Altar Society of St. John's Church in Mizpah and a former member of the Church Council of St. Mary's Church in East Vineland.

Beloved mother of her son, James T. Powers of Huntington, NY, and daughter, Laura M. Powers of Barnegat, NJ. Cherished grandmother to James T. Powers (Stephanie) of Sturbridge, MA, Jackson T. Powers (Lirianna) of Greenfield, MA, Jarrett T. Powers (Ally) of Worcester, MA and Joanna M. Powers of Kingston, JA. Loving great grandmother to Moira Powers, Brynn Powers and Ella Powers. Beloved aunt to Jayne McGinn (Howard) of Paxton, MA.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, from 5pm – 8pm, with a service beginning at 7pm, and again on Saturday morning from 9am – 10am, at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home at 1024 East Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360. Norma will be laid to rest on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 at St. Mary's Cemetery, 9 Union Rd. Vineland, NJ with a graveside service beginning at 10:30am.

Norma asked in lieu of flowers if you would consider one of the charities she supported; St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Manahawkin's ASPCA, Paralyzed Vets and the Townwide Fund of Huntington.
