IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Olga
Martelli
April 30, 1923 – November 22, 2023
Olga (Luccarella) Martelli, age 100 of Vineland, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Millville Genesis.
The daughter of the late Concetto and Pauline Luccarella, she was predeceased by her husband, the late Dom Martelli. Olga was also predeceased by her siblings; Russell Luccarella (Rita), Mary Bonanno (Mike), Pauline Leotta (Benny), Philip Luccarella (Catherine), Anna Liccarella, and Violet Joannides (Joseph).
Olga grew up in Gloucester County working on the family farm and hand sewing Army coats during World War II. After moving to Vineland, Dom and Olga started Martelli Tile Company. On most Friday and Saturday evenings, they could be found dancing the nights away at the Oasis Dance Hall in Mullica Hill, where they first met.
Family was Olga's top priority. She often spent her days in the kitchen whipping up her delicious soups, Italian dishes, or tasty desserts for friends and family. She made sure you never left her house hungry or without a good laugh. Olga's laughter was contagious, as she was known for her sense of humor. Once you got her started, you never knew when she'd stop…or what she'd say!
Olga is survived by her daughter, Eileen Grandi (Gary); grandchildren, Ashley Galbiati (Mark) and Nicholas Grandi (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Audriana Galbiati and Alden and Lily Grandi. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A Church visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 10:00-11:15 am, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30 am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish – St. Isidore the Farmer Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd. Vineland, NJ. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
The family would like to thank the staff at Millville Genesis for the care Olga received as a resident there. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Olga's memory to Millville Center Recreation Department, c/o JoAnn Starn, 54 Sharp St. Millville, NJ 08332. The Recreation Department provides daily activities for the residents where Olga was an active participant.
Condolences may be shared with the family at www.wbfuneralhome.com
