Olga E. Platoni, age 89 of Vineland, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at home. Olga was born in Philadelphia to the late John and Katherine (Chalow) Hatala and was a resident of Vineland most of her life. She was a graduate of Vineland High School, Class of 1942 and also the Vineland Business School. Prior to retirement, Olga worked as a bookkeeper and teller for Vineland National Bank, and for Prudential Insurance Co. of Millville in the claims department. She was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, and a volunteer at Newcomb Medical Center and Inspira. Olga was an avid gardener and enjoyed reading. Olga was predeceased by her husband Edward Platoni in 1993. Olga is survived by her son, Robert Platoni and wife Sandra of Vineland. 2 grandchildren; Stephanie Whitesell and husband Donald of Mullica Hill and Robyn Levin and husband Samuel of Philadelphia. A great-granddaughter, Addison Whitesell at home, and by her brother John Hatala and wife Louise of Vineland. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 13th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery.
