Omar Mercado, 36, of Vineland, passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2017.

Omar was born in Patterson, NJ to Victor Mercado and Adonia Rodriguez and raised in Yauco, PR. Omar lived in Vineland for the past 10 years. He was employed by RLS Logistics in Newfield. Prior to working at RLS Logistics, he was employed by Assem-Pak. Omar's passions were cars especially Jeeps and Volkswagens, detailing cars especially his own, nitro cars, antiques, and spending time with his family. Omar was always willing to help anyone and would take time from himself to be there for others. He will be missed by many.

Omar is survived by his parents Victor Mercado and Adonia Rodriguez, his companion of 10 years Norma Martinez and her children Kiara and Jaden Martinez, his siblings Delvis Mercado (Yesenia), Ingrid Mercado (Mateo), Moises Mercado, Victor Mercado (Maribel), Mike Hamdeh (Rosaura), many nieces and nephews and his best friend Christian Crespo.

Visiting hours will be on Sunday February 19, 2017 from 6pm to 9pm at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 East Landis Avenue in Vineland. Burial will be in Yauco, PR.
