Orlando "Nick" Rivera, 55, of Blackwood, NJ (formerly from Vineland) passed away to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2022.

Nick was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 15, 1967 to Enery (Mora) Rivera and Nicasio Rivera. He spent his childhood years in Los Teques, Venezuela, his early teenage years in Brooklyn, NY and most of his adulthood life in South Jersey.

Nick served as a security guard for the Vineland Public Schools, as volunteer fire police officer for the Audubon Fire Department, and as a food distribution manager for the Mighty Writers food bank in Camden, NJ.

While working as a security guard at the Vineland High School he met the love of his life, Kathleen "Kathy" Finley. They never married but they spent their lives together making memories until the day he went to be with the Lord.

Nick was a diehard Mets and Giants fan. He loved rooting for his team and sharing  memories at Shea Stadium. When he was not watching football and baseball, he enjoyed cheering for his favorite soccer team, Brazil.  He loved spending time with his beloved Kathy, his brothers and family, playing with his nieces and nephews, and sharing family traditions.

He was predeceased by his father Missionary and Evangelist Nicasio Rivera. He is survived by the love of his life, Kathleen Finley, his beloved mother Enery Rivera, his brothers Ismael Rivera, Dennis Rivera, Juan Carlos Rivera, their wives, his two nieces, and his five nephews.

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at the Vineland Spanish Assemblies of God Church at 512 South Third Street, Vineland, NJ 08360. Family and friends may begin gathering for the viewing at 6:30 pm prior to the service, which will begin at 7:00 pm.  Nick will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 5th at Siloam
Cemetery, with a graveside service at 11:00 am.
