Osbaldo Acosta-Ortiz, age 79 of Vineland went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 9, 2014 in Eagleview Nursing Center, Pittsgrove. Osbaldo was born in San German, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro M. and Alfonsa (Ortiz) Acosta and lived in Vineland most of his life. He was a member of Spanish Assembly of God Church of Vineland. Prior to retirement, he was a Baker for Liss Bakery Co. of Vineland for 30 years. He also drove a cab for many years. Osbaldo enjoyed singing, playing dominoes, horse racing and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Cecilia (Heredia) Acosta in 2012. Survivors include 3 Sons, Alberto Acosta of Manhattan, Angel Acosta and his companion Mari of Vineland and Luis Acosta of Vineland. Two daughters, Julia Cortes and her husband Artemio of Vineland and Aida Acosta-Owens and her husband Darrell of Newtonville, special daughter, Rhonda Bizardin of Vineland. Also two grandchildren Osbaldo Luciano of Bronx, NY and Anthony Luciano of Vineland, three great-grandchildren Nailah, Elijah, and Emilio, all at home. Funeral services will be held Friday, 12:00 Noon from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
