Patricia P. DeFant

Patricia P. DeFant, lovingly known as “G-Mom,” passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Inspira Medical Center in Mullica Hill. She was 81 years old.

Born in Lanai, Hawaii, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Vicente Pascua and Leonida Pagampoa. She was a warm and caring woman whose greatest joy came from the people she loved. Patricia treasured the time she spent with her close circle of girlfriends, especially their monthly lunch gatherings filled with laughter and friendship. Above all, she adored her family — especially her grandkids and most importantly her grand fur babies.

Patricia was a longtime resident of Vineland, New Jersey. She dedicated many years to education and retired in 2017 from the Pleasantville Board of Education after a rewarding teaching career that touched the lives of many students and colleagues.

Patricia’s beautiful life and loving spirit will forever be cherished by her daughter, Leilani, and son-in-law, Jose; her grandsons, Joey Rodriguez and his fiancée, Franchesca Guzman, and Gabriel Rodriguez; her sister, Adeline Fontanilla; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Diane Asuncion.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland. Family and friends are invited to gather from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
