Patrick Anthony Moratelli Jr., age 90 of Vineland, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

Patrick was born in Vineland to the late Patrick and Bruna (Goffredi) Moratelli. He was a graduate of Vineland High School with the Class of 1949, where he played football and basketball. Patrick was a proud US Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War on the "USS Great Sitkin" as a Machinist's Mate 3rd Class. He earned the National Defense Ribbon and also the Navy Occupation Medal.

After Patrick's Honorable Discharge from the Navy, he married the love of his life, Barbara Joyce Franceshi on November 9, 1957. Together they lived in St. Petersburg, Florida before moving back to Vineland to raise their children. He was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish. Patrick worked as a plumber for over 15 years with his father-in-law's business, Franceshi Plumbing. He later owned and operated the Moratelli's Ice Service, the Landis Restaurant in Landisville, NJ and ultimately the Little Achievers Learning Center, with both his wife and daughter, Joanna.

Patrick was a longtime member of the Landisville Social Club. He enjoyed watching Sunday football games, morning coffee with his friends, going out to dinner with family and the casinos in Atlantic City and Las Vegas. He loved travelling yearly to Mexico for vacations and especially to Italy with Barbara for their 50th wedding anniversary. Above all, Patrick cherished the time he shared with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Joyce Moratelli in 2019.

Patrick is survived by his 3 loving and devoted children; Michelle Pignatore and her husband Mark of Southport, NC, Joanna Corwonski and her husband Tom of Newfield, NJ and Patrick Moratelli III and his wife Robin of Dorchester, NJ. His 5 beloved grandchildren; Alicin, Michael (Stephanie), Barbara, Alex and Nicholas along with 6 great-grandchildren and his dog Georgie.

Family and friends will be received on Monday evening, Nov. 15th from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. A private family service will be held on Tuesday. Patrick will be laid to rest with Navy Honors in Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield.
