Paul Russel Laury, age 86 of Newfield, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Virtua Hospital, Berlin, after a brief illness. Paul was born in Vineland to the late Charles M. and Lydia (Snyder) Laury and was a resident of Newfield for the past 47 years. He graduated from Vineland High School with the Class of 1945. Prior to retirement, Paul was an H.V.A.C. Mechanic with Laury heating for over 50 years. He was a member of the Malaga Assembly of God Church and a former member of the Franklinville Senior Citizens Center. Paul was a licensed pilot who enjoyed deep sea fishing and feeding his pet chipmunks. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Paul was predeceased by his son Robert Laury, his brothers, Elmer Laury, Benjamin Laury and Fred Laury. And by his sister, Lois DeHart. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gloria (Capra) Laury of Newfield. His 3 sons; Steve Laury of Green Valley, AZ., Ronald "Ron" Basolis and wife Marion of Upper Deerfield, and Jeffrey "Jeff" Basolis and wife Pam of Peachtree City, GA. And his daughter, Sharon Steigerwalt and husband Albert of Franklinville. Also by 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his sister, Kay Fratto of Vineland and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at 11:00 am from the Malaga Assembly of God Church, 377 Dutch Mill Rd. Malaga, NJ, with Rev. Randy Sabella officiating. Burial will be private.
