Peter Anthony Micheletti Sr., age 87 of Richland, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018 , surrounded by his loving family.

Peter was born in Peckville, Pennsylvania on January 27, 1931 to the late Baldo and Mary (Ciciloni) Micheletti and moved to Richland at the age of 15.  He was a graduate of Vineland High School with the Class of 1949, two days after graduating, Peter received a letter from the New York Yankees to attend baseball camp in Newark, NJ.  While at the camp, he became ill and was unable to play baseball and finish the camp.  In 1952, Peter married his high school sweetheart, Grace Falasco and they raised 4 children together.  Prior to his retirement, Peter worked as a tax collector in Buena Vista Township for 47 years.  He also was a Richland volunteer Fireman and Officer for 40 years, the Fire Commissioner for 15 years and Secretary for the Buena Vista Fireman's Relief Association for over 25 years.

Peter also devoted his time as a member of the Buena Regional School Board, an Umpire in the Buena Little League and a Boy Scout Commissioner for Troop 16.  In his spare time, Peter enjoyed working in the yard, playing cards and watching his favorite teams; the Eagles and Phillies.  Above all of his hobbies and enjoyments, Peter cherished the time he shared with is family most, especially his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son Peter Micheletti Jr. in 2013, his brothers; John and Carlo Micheletti, his sister Rose Zorzi and by his brothers-in-law; Tony and Phillip Falasco and Larry Zorzi.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Grace (Falasco) Micheletti.  His 2 sons; Paul and wife Liz Micheletti Sr. of Richland and Robert and wife Pam Micheletti of Buena.  His daughter, Mary Ann Levari of Richland and his daughter-in-law Brenda Micheletti of Richland.  He is also survived by 8 grandsons; Daniel (Donna) Levari, Joseph (Kristen) Levari, Anthony Levari, Paul (Beth) Micheletti Jr., Michael (Melissa) Micheletti and John, David and Matthew Micheletti.  2 granddaughters; Samantha (Arthur) Ferrari and Lisa Micheletti.  Along with 10 great-grandchildren and his sisters-in-law, Thelma and Edie Falasco and his loving niece and God-daughter Janet Pierotti.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 1st at 11:00 am at Saint Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Ave. Vineland.  Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Vineland.  Family and friends may gather from 9:00-10:45 am at the CHURCH.
