Phillip Andrew Danko

Phillip A. Danko, age 87, of Downstown (Franklin Twp.), NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Born in Downstown, NJ, Phillip was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Clayton High School, Class of 1957. He went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard.

A dedicated worker and lifelong farmer, Phillip spent 30 years as a foreman for the East Coast Bulb Co. in Newfield, NJ. He also honored his family’s roots as a self-employed farmer, managing and working his parents' farm throughout his life. Outside of his work and dedication to the land, he had a deep fondness for traveling. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish – Our Lady of Victories Church.

Phillip was predeceased by his parents, John P. and Margaret D. (Mallick) Danko, and his brother, John J. Danko, in 2019.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 1st at 10:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Following the service, Phillip will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield, NJ.
