In loving memory of Phyllis Derechinsky, age 89 of Elmer, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Born to the late Sadie Ackerman and Abraham Freedman. She joins her sister Ann Simon, brother Benjamin Freedman, and husband Stanley Derechinsky in eternal rest.

Phyllis is survived by her cherished children: Robin Rapach, Lee Derechinsky, Jodi Zane, and Scott Derechinsky. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Mandy Walker, Sarena D'Amico, Chad Rapach, Heather George, and Ariana Conti, as well as great-grandchildren Connor Walker and Giada D'Amico.

Phyllis found joy in dancing, reading, and treasured moments with her family. Her love extended to animals, particularly her beloved dogs. A dedicated school teacher for many years, Phyllis leaves behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and a life well-lived. May her soul rest in peace.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 18th at 10:00 am at the Alliance Cemetery, 970 Gershal Ave. Norma, NJ.
