Phyllis Elizabeth Catania Nash, 71 of Vineland NJ, was called unto our heavenly father on April 6, 2014. She was born and raised in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Philip and Dora E. Catania, and lived most of her life in Vineland, then resided in Trenton, NJ. Phyllis graduated from Bridgeton High school where she played field hockey and enjoyed her arts & crafts. Everyone who knew Phyllis would say she was a very compassionate and compelling person with a vibrant imagination who loved the beauty of the world. She opened herself and her home to people who needed it. Phyllis was known for her art skills, her hand painted trees and a bedroom mural she did. Phyllis is survived by her children; Anthony Nash, John Dominick Nash, Monica Nash and step daughter Wanda Caraballo. Her sister Josephine "Dolly" Parker, and her long-time companion Edwin Vasquez. She is also survived by a long list of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. And also her dearest long time best friends Victor and Helen Bermudez. Phyllis was preceded in death by her sons Kenneth W. Nash and Philip J. Nash. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14th at 7:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will be private. The viewing will be from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the family, c/o Monica Nash.
