Our beautiful grandmother Providencia Hernandez-Martinez age 108, died peacefully in her home on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 4:30am.

She was married to her husband Francisco Martinez-Rivera in a small city in Puerto Rico where they started their journey. They were blessed to have and raised seven children together: Marcelino Martinez, Eulalia Martinez-Ortiz, Maria Melendez, Rosa Roman, Victor Navarro and Samuel Martinez and Antera Martinez.

Providencia and her family relocated to the United States of America in April 1958 where they settled in a small city called Vineland. Providencia used her skills as a seamstress for major clothing companies and worked for Mofortalini and Angelo DePhillipe Farms in Landisville for more than 5years.
Providencia has been blessed with a big family totaling 31 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren and 76 great-great grandchildren and counting. A total of 8 generations came from this beauty. Not only was she our grandmother but to others known as Wela, Mita, Mom, Mama, Old Lady and Bubble Bee. She is our legacy, our joy and pain, our story teller, but most of all she is our willow tree of wisdom. She will truly be missed but we know that GOD has gained a beautiful angel that will watch over us.

Family and Friends are invited to attend this celebration of our beloved "GRAMMY" on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Wainwright Funeral Home, 1024 East Landis Avenue, Vineland. The viewing will be held from 9:00-10:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
