Rafael Rivera Vidal mejor conocido cómo Rafy, de 54 años de edad y vecino de Phildelphia (anteriormente de Vineland) fue llamado a morar con el señor el miércoles 7 de septiembre de 2022.

Rafy nació en Utuado, Puerto Rico. Fue criado por sus padres Miguel Rivera y María Vidal en el barrio Arenas de Utuado y allí vivió sus años de juventud. Luego vivió parte de su vida en Vineland y se mudó con su familia a Filadelfia donde pasó sus últimos días.

Rafy fue antecedido en muerte por su padre Miguel Rivera, los hermanos Miguel e Iván y su hermana Grisel, su cuñado Edwin.
Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Gisela. Sus hijos, Ivan (Judy), Luis (Jen) y Abdiel, hijas, Stephanie, Marianne y Shakira, y una hija acojida por amor Vickie. Sus nietos, Jaryel, Leylanie, Scarlett, Riley, Camron, Taj y Selena, Madre María, Hermanos, Raúl(Miriam), Luis(Gladys) y Norberto(Naitiza), Hermanas, Lilliam(Héctor), Wanda(Rolando), Ivette(Javier), Sandra, Miriam y Margie. Un gran número de sobrinas y sobrinos a los que amaba con todo su corazón.

Rafy fue conocido por su gran sentido del humor incluso en momentos de gran tristeza. Aquellos que lo conocían sabían lo divertido, "charlatan" y de espíritu libre que era. Fue un gran cocinero, pero sobretodo un gran amo de casa. Todos sabíamos que le encantaba ayudar a su familia y a cualquiera que lo necesitara incondicionalmente. Su pasatiempo favorito era relajarse y estar con su peludito bebe Milo. Le encantaba trabajar en con carros hojalateria o cualquier cosa, porque para él nunca había una barerra, lo que no sabía se lo inventaba.

Los actos funebres se llevaran a cabo en Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, en Vineland, New Jersey. El martes 13 de septiembre de 10:00 a. m. a 12:00 pm.

Rafael Rivera Vidal, age 54 of Philly (formerly of Vineland) was called home to be with the lord on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at his home.

Rafy was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to the late Miguel Rivera and living Maria Vidal. Rafael lived and was raised in Utuado, he lived majority of his life in Vineland and relocated with his family to Philadelphia.

Rafy loved joking around even in inappropriate times (those who knew him, knew how funny and free spirited he was), loved to cooked and do BBQs, he loved serving his family and anyone who needed him, his favorite past time was sitting and relaxing with his fur baby Milo. He loved to work on cars, amazing handy man.

Rafy was predeceased by his father Miguel Rivera, brothers Miguel and Ivan and sister Grisel , bother-in-law Edwin.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gisela, sons, Ivan(Judy), Luis(Jen)and Abdiel, daughters, Stephanie, Marianne and Shakira, and a daughter by love Vickie, grandchildren, Jaryel, Leylanie, Scarlett, Riley, Camron, Taj and Selena, Mother Maria, Brothers, Raul(Miriam), Luis(Gladys), and Norberto(Naitiza), Sisters, Lilliam(Hector), Wanda(Rolando), Ivette(Javier), Sandra, Miriam and Margie and a handful of nieces and nephews that he loved wholeheartedly.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 13th at 12:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 10:00-12:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
