Ramona Lopez (née Caraballo), age 90, affectionately known by all as Ramonita, went to be with her Lord on January 13, 2026. She was born on June 20, 1935, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, and later moved to New Jersey, where she lived for most of her life in Vineland as the unwavering backbone of her family.

Ramonita was the true heart of her home. A master cook and a dedicated homemaker, she poured her love into her family through her kitchen and her constant care. She was a woman of incredible strength and legendary directness; she never filtered her words, took no nonsense from anyone, and always knew exactly what she wanted. Her honesty was matched only by her wit and her vibrant spirit—she was the life of every party and truly knew how to have a good time.

A woman of faith, Ramonita was a familiar face in the Pentecostal community of Vineland over the years. She frequented Chestnut Assembly of God and attended various other local churches, where she found fellowship and strength. When she wasn't with her family, Ramonita found joy at the seashore and excitement visiting the casinos in Atlantic City. She lived life on her own terms, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, strength, and fierce independence.

Ramonita was predeceased by her beloved husband, Angel Antonio Lopez, in 1987, and her cherished son, Edwin Lopez, in 1992.

She is survived by her devoted sons and their families: Miguel Lopez and his wife Pamela Littler, and Anthony Lopez and his wife Anna Maria Lopez. She leaves a lasting legacy through her four grandchildren: Jennifer Bermudez, Chris Lopez, Ross Lopez, and her namesake, Julia Ramona Lopez; as well as her five cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Francis Soto; her sister-in-law, Ivette Caraballo; and numerous nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart.

Family and friends are invited to honor Ramonita's life on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360, with her viewing held from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, officiated by the Pastors William and Juanita Soto of the Vineland Pentecostal Church of God.

Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Ave. Vineland, NJ 08360
