On February 24, 2024, at the age of 81, the matriarch of the Guadalupe Family, Ramona Santiago, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home, surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico on April 19, 1942 and moved to New York City at the age of 6.

She met and married her first husband Bolivar Guadalupe Sr., to whom she was married for 39 years, before his passing in June of 1997. She is survived by her 5 children, Rosalie & Jim Blessing, Yolanda & George Pena, Bolivar & Patrice Guadalupe Jr, Moses & Daisy Guadalupe Sr. and Gary & Mimi Guadalupe Sr. AKA: Ro, Yo, Bo, Mo and Gary. She is also survived by her second husband Antonio Santiago.

Ramona, aka Ramonita / Moncha / Monchita loved her family dearly. She worked as a Nurse's Aide at Newcomb Hospital, at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino as a Room Attendant. She retired as a Senior Housekeeping Attendant from the Vineland Developmental Center. She loved sewing. She made her children's clothes. Ramona loved using her hands to knit hats, scarfs, booties and other things. She would crochet blankets for her grandchildren and enjoyed macrame. She loved music, the beach, casinos, flowers, birds, puzzles, elephants, those Spanish soap operas and watching TV in bed.

She's left a profound impact on her 13 Grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, her brothers, sisters, friends, family and extended family. She will be missed, but eternally loved, until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 3:00 PM from the Semper Marine Detachment Hall 2041 W. Landis Ave. Vineland. Cremation will be private. Family and friends may gather in the Hall from 1:00-2:45 PM prior to Ramona's funeral service.
