Raul Acosta Jr., age 56 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Raul was born in Vineland to the late Raul and Teonila (Borrero) Acosta Sr. and was a lifelong Vineland resident.  He graduated from Vineland High School with the Class of 1979 and worked as a security officer with the Resorts and Tropicana casinos for 25 years.  Raul was a member of the Vineland Spanish Assembly of God Church.  He enjoyed playing and watching basketball and was an avid Philadelphia 76ers and North Carolina Tarheels fan.

Raul was predeceased by 2 brothers; Joe Acosta and Daniel Acosta.

Raul is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Beth A. (Walmsley) Acosta of Vineland.  His 2 sons; Raul C. Acosta of Sterling, VA, and David J. Acosta of Vineland and by his grandson Raul A. Acosta.  He is also survived by his brother David Acosta and wife Maria of Vineland, his 2 sisters; Lydia Acosta Cruz and husband Tony and Judy Acosta Garza and husband Isaias, all of Vineland.  His sister-in-law Amelia Acosta of Vineland, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 28th at 4:00 pm at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Family and friends may gather from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.
