Ricardo Castro "Ricky" 45, of Vineland, NJ, died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 8, 2016, surrounded by his loving family, after an extended illness.

Ricky was born on March 25, 1971, in Vineland, NJ to Gilberto and Digna (Rivera) Castro.  Ricky worked in construction, before becoming ill, and was known as a master spackler.  Ricky was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and was best friends with the NJ lottery.  His love of family, sense of humor, and desire for adventure is something everyone will miss.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Gilberto Castro.

Ricky is survived by his mother Digna Castro (Rivera); two daughters, Myranda Castro and Vanessa Adams.  Also surviving are his grandchildren:  Makayla Bain, Jamahl "junior" and Julianna Eason; brothers Roberto Castro (Gloria), Manuel "Nello" Castro, Edward (Lily) Castro; sisters Carmen Ventura and Digna Castro-Gonzalez (Adoni); and a large extended family.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13 ^th at 10:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.  Family and friends will be received on Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 am at the funeral home.
