Robert W. Goff, 94 of Vineland, died on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at SJ Healthcare, Regional Medical Center. Bob was born in Ocean City on January 23, 1918 and raised in Glassboro before moving to Vineland 65 years ago. He graduated from Glassboro High School in 1935 and attended Maryville College in Tennessee as well as Rutgers and Temple Universities. Bob served his country as a Captain and instructor in the Army Air Forces during World War II. He was a proud and honored decorated veteran with an American Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal. Bob worked at Owens-Illinois in Glassboro and Kimble Glass in Vineland before leaving to become a co-founder of the former National Glass and Plastics, Inc., a manufacturer of laboratory glass equipment in Newfield. In cooperation with Delsea Regional High School, he started one of the first work-study programs in the state to help high school students learn a trade in the glass industry. Bob was an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Vineland as well as serving as its Church School Superintendent for more than 30 years. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Martha (Lahti) Goff of Vineland. 3 daughters; Carolyn "Cassie" of Watchung, NJ, Lois Garner of Vineland, and Nancy Tonetta and husband Rick of Vineland. 6 grandchildren; Alex and Adam Laird, Dustin Garner, and Amanda, Ricky and Robert Tonetta. Also by several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on August 25 at the First Presbyterian Church of Vineland, 8th and Landis Ave. with Rev. John Fordyce officiating.
