Pearce, Roger Alan, - 74, of Vineland, died peacefully at home on May 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pitman in 1947 to the late Howard and Esther (Brooks), Roger was the third of five children and a graduate of Clayton High School class of 1965 and is predeceased by his brothers Dennis and Keith, and sister Sandy.

Roger attended Rutgers University and worked as a manager for Acme in Clayton, NJ. In 1971 Roger began his career in Real Estate working for McClain-Heller in Vineland and established himself as a Certified Property Manager and a trusted sales professional. After a successful start, Roger launched Pearce-Jannarone Real Estate in 1977 with his partner where he was a successful Broker and co-owner for the last 44 years in the heart of Vineland on Landis Avenue working up until his final days. He developed a reputation of a man of character and integrity and as a result, lasting friendships were formed throughout the community and industry. Peers respected him for his industry knowledge, work ethic, and honesty. Roger served as President and Director of the Cumberland County Board of Realtors and received recognition from the Real Estate Community on several occasions with the Circle of Excellence Sales Award.

Roger continued his civic duty by devoting his time to several institutions and foundations. In 1970 Roger joined the YMCA as a member of the International Y's Men's Club. Roger was named to the YMCA Board of Directors in the early seventies and served on the board for 20 years and was named President and Chairman of the Vineland YMCA. During his time with the YMCA he served as a trustee, awarded the Service to Youth Award, a member of the Heritage & Triangle Club, and served as Camp Merrywood Chairman. Roger's dedication to the YMCA earned him the prestigious honor of The Spirit Mind and Body Award in 2006. His commitment to the community was also reflected in his service to the United Way where he served as the Vineland Chairperson. Roger served as a Board of Trustee of the Newcomb Medical Center, was a member of the Vineland Industrial Commission, Vineland Chamber of Commerce, Director of the Vineland Rotary Club, Chairman and Trustee of The Ellison School, Treasurer of First United Methodist Church of Vineland, and proud member and Secretary of The North Italy Beneficial Association. During his free time and often working late into the night, Roger successfully owned as many as six Hallmark stores throughout Southern New Jersey – The Card Peddler.

Roger had a passion for life, loved his family, Philadelphia sports and Ohio State, entertaining, traveling to St. Maarten, his cats, and a love for his home where he often enjoyed his favorite beverage, a Manhattan or sip of Michael Collins. Roger spent countless hours working in his yard and on home improvement projects where he has resided with his wife Jane for 50 years. Roger was selfless and always willing to lend a hand. He opened his home to others and proudly hosted weddings, birthday parties, and gatherings. He will be missed for his wit, humor, smile, and generosity.

Roger is survived by his wife of 51 years and high-school sweetheart Jane (Gallucci), his two sons Stephen and Todd, and his sister Cheryl Pearce, loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and lifelong friends.
