Rosa M. Gonzalez (Rosen), age 89, was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, made her home in the states for over sixty years, residing in Yonkers, New York, Millville, NJ and finally settling in Vineland, NJ, was summoned by our Lord on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Spring Village at Hammonton.

At a very young age, Rosen was a seamstress who originally starting sewing gloves in her early years in Puerto Rico. While in the states, she continued to sew and knit from home, from hemming pants, skirts, sewing prom dresses, and wedding gowns and veils.

Rosen is survived by her loving children, Geordy Velez, Iriedza (Betty) Rodriguez [Ramon], Jeordinan (Peter) Mercado [Leray], and her precious treasures of seven grandchildren, Juan and Jenniffer Velez, Gabriel and Jovany Rodriguez, Donovan, Samuel, and Marliena Mercado, and 4 great grandchildren. Daughter-in-law Gladys Almodovar. Her siblings Gloria (Eddie) Mercado, Florida, and brother Jose Gonzalez-Quinoñes, Puerto Rico, with many nieces and nephew, Marisol Hernandez and Albert Mercado to name a few. Finally, her companion of over twenty-five years, Jose Gonzalez.

She was predeceased by her sons, Ruperto (Tito) Velez, Marcelino (Johnny) Velez and Jose (Chevy) Velez.
