We joyfully celebrate the life of Rosa Julia Ruiz Sanchez, known by her family as Lula, who passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at the age of 93.

Rosa was born on November 9, 1932, in Yauco, Puerto Rico, to Sara Sanchez Figueroa and Tomas Ruiz Quinones. She was known as a kind, independent, sweet, and loving woman whose caring and generous nature touched everyone she met. With a strong will and a gentle heart, she faced life with grace, dignity, and quiet strength. Rosa was a hardworking and dedicated woman throughout her life. She worked at Dell Fashions and Ross Factory, and later at Whitehorse Poultry for many years, where her strong work ethic, reliability, and perseverance were deeply valued and respected. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Rosa Julia was faithful to Jehovah and deeply devoted to living by Bible principles. She especially enjoyed reading the Bible, which strengthened her faith and brought her great joy. In her personal time, she also enjoyed sewing, creating crafts, and crocheting, using her talents to lovingly make items for family and friends.

She was a devoted and loving mother whose strength, faith, and example will continue to guide her family.

Rosa is lovingly remembered by her children: Luz (Miguel Gonzalez), Maria Rivera (Robert Newcomer), Alicia Rivera (Raphael Calderon), Migdalia Games, Richard Rodriguez, and Doris (Wayne Edwards Jr.). She is also lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and numerous extended family members and dear friends whose love and friendship brought her great joy.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Rosa was one of 12 siblings. She is lovingly remembered by five surviving siblings and was preceded in death by six siblings, all of whom remain dearly loved and remembered.

While her absence is deeply felt, the family finds comfort and joy in the Bible's promise of the resurrection, confidently looking forward to the time when loved ones will be reunited, as assured at John 5:28, 29.

Rosa's visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, New Jersey, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM officiated by Mr. Angel Serrano, of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Church, Vineland.
