IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosa
Steinberg
May 2, 1910 – December 19, 2015
Rose Steinberg, nee Ludanski, age 105 passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 in Seashore Gardens Living Center, Galloway.
Rosa was born in Michaliski, Poland ( now Belarus) in 1910 to the late Eliyahu and Rachel (Lapidis) Ludanski and lived in Vineland since 1959. She was a member of the Sons of Jacob Congregation.
She had 4 sisters and 4 brothers. She and her sister Gela and Alte survived the Holocaust. You don't attain the age of 105 without a strong determination to survive. She survived 2 concentration camps.
Rosa was always kind to everyone, despite a life filled with many losses. She lost her daughter Rochelle in 1970, her husband Abram in 1990 and her sister Gela in 2007.
She is survived by several nephews and nieces, including nephew Eliyahu Hodesh, a nuclear physicist and great nieces, Batya, Billa and Sagit, living near Haifa, Israel. Also her niece Debra Cooper of New York City and two great-nieces from New York City, Eve Gutman and Laura Garnett. Rosa's cousins, Sharon Chosak, Bennett Heller and Lessie and Ronald Gold, Bene, Sarah, Chaim and Rika Levin of New York, and cousin Hannah in Australia, and Lily. Also first cousin Boris Klor of Florida.
Her family is enormously grateful to her friend, Eileen Linzner, for her love, care and devotion to Rosa.
She was an inspiration to her great-nieces Eve and Laura, and taught them about what it means to appreciate every moment you had, no matter what she had been through she lived life and appreciated every moment. She was kind, sweet, loving, joyful.
