Russell "Rusty" K. Sperling, of Port Norris, passed away on Friday November 28, 2014, at the age of 63. He died of natural causes at home. Rusty was born in Vineland and spent most of his life in the Vineland area. He was the Vineland High School class president of 1969. Rusty was an accomplished gymnast in high school, earning a full scholarship to Temple University. He was an excellent big brother to his little brother and a doting uncle to his four nephews. Rusty was predeceased by his parents Doris and Russell Sperling Rusty is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Ken and Mary Sperling; four nephews, Jay, Zachary, Luke, and Josiah Sperling; three aunts, Josie Neill, Dolly Marciano, and Jeanne Alvino; six cousins, David, Darren, and Dean Alvino, Nancy, Joyce, and Victor Sperling; his step-mother Anne Sperling; and three step-brothers Bruce, Wayne, and Russell Swanson. The funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec.8th at 11:00am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Alex Thompson officiating.
