Ruth A. Block, age 95 of Millville (formerly of Northfield) passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.

Ruth was born in Blackwood, New Jersey to the late Samuel V. and Olive A. (Hankins) Sharp and she lived in Ocean City, later in Linwood, then eventually moving to Northfield. Most recently Ruth moved to Millville to be with her daughter.

Ruth was an avid bowler and member of the Winding River Boating Association. She volunteered with the Mays Landing Methodist Church food pantry and MANNA at the Shore in Northfield.

Ruth was a telephone operator for New Jersey Bell Telephone when she was younger.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband William W. Block, son-in-law, Almet I. Thomas, great-granddaughter, Lauren E. Kelly and by her brother Carlton Sharp.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Ruth Ann Thomas of Millville, 2 granddaughters, Lisa Marie Cunningham (Shawn) of Reinholds, Pa. and Melissa Lyn Klecz (Raymond) of Penhook, Va. Also 6 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great-granddaughter.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 27th at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 110 Highland Ave. Vineland, New Jersey 08361. Interment will be private.
