Salvador Cortes, 76, of Vineland, NJ, took his last journey on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

Born on June 22, 1949, in Angeles, Utuado, Puerto Rico, Salvador was the son of the late Salvador Cortes and Diana Garcia. He grew up in his family home alongside his beloved siblings, Heriberto Cortes, Lunilda Cortes, Celia Gonzalez, Jose Cortes, and Nelida Cortes.

Salvador met his wife, Marilu Andujar, in Vineland, NJ, in 1975, where he raised his family. He was a cherished and adored father to Marilynn Cortes and her husband Anibal, Angel Cortes and his late wife, Alexa, Arnaldo Cortes and his wife Tina and Alexza Cortes and her husband Bert.

Salvador leaves a rich legacy behind with his ten grandchildren, Anthony, Erika, Nicholas, Elijah, Ariana, Camielle, Sofia, RyAnne, Joziah, and Jonas, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Ceeletta and Cameron. He was also cherished and adored by his in-laws, along with many loved nieces and nephews.

An upstanding pillar in the community, Salvador was loved by many who he considered family, including friends, neighbors and Jeeperos.

He is welcomed into Heaven by his parents, his in-laws and his daughter-in-law, Alexa. Salvador's warmth, community spirit, and love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family celebrates his life knowing he began his greatest ride with the top down. The viewing services will be held Monday October 20, 2025 at Higher Places Ministries 40 W. Landis Ave. Vineland from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. Funeral services will be at Higher Places Ministries on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 10:00am –12:00pm, followed by his procession and burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
