Samuel Santiago, age 60 of Vineland, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 with family by his side.

Samuel came to New Jersey from Guayanilla, Puerto Rico.  He graduated from Escuela Vocacional Yauco, Puerto Rico, becoming a certified mechanic as well as a licensed barber.

He was a member of Iglesia Adventista Del Séptimo Día of Vineland, serving as a deacon for a brief period of time.

Samuel was known to many as a "jack of all trades" but his most sought out service was his car mechanic skills.  He was very giving and performed many charitable work to friends and acquaintances of the community.  To those who knew him, he was known as a man with a big heart and a willingness to help anyone in need.

He was an avid reader and researcher.  His favorite pastimes were listening to music and watching boxing.  Samuel enjoyed talking about his faith to those who would lend him an ear.

He is predeceased by his father Pablo Santiago. He is survived by his mother Maximina Rodríguez Tiru; brother Pablo Santiago Rodríguez; wife Santia Soto Irizzary, his beloved stepchildren Joselito Galarza, Olga Galarza, Marilyn Galarza-Garcia, niece Janmar Santiago, nephew by marriage Jaime Rosado and close friend Sonia Nieves.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Sunday, March 20th, from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home 1024 East Landis Ave. Vineland, NJ. Cremation will be private.
