Shirley C. Hughes, 76 Wife, Mother, Bookkeeper Shirley C. Hughes (nee Baer) of Vineland passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at home in the presence of her beloved husband and family. Shirley was born in Vineland to the late John H. and Catherine (Navone) Baer, and was a lifelong resident. Shirley was a 1954 graduate of Vineland High School and also a graduate of Goldey-Beacom Business College. She worked as a bookkeeper for Hughes Builders of Vineland. She was an active member of the Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Vineland, where she served faithfully for many years. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Thomas "Tom" Hughes of Vineland. 3 children; Linda and her husband Rev. Ian Lamont, of Hilton Head, S.C., John and his wife Pam Hughes of Las Vegas, NV. and Carolyn and her husband Ed Jenko of Essex Junction, VT. 6 grandchildren; Megan, Sean, Katie and Josiah Lamont, Julia and Kevin Jenko and Thomas Andrews. She is also survived by her sister, Helen and her husband Rev. Ernest Moore of Vineland, and 2 brothers; Richard and his wife Eileen Baer of St. Louis, MO and Chester and his wife Charlotte Baer of Vineland. As well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, January 2nd at 11:00 am in the Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 1029 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Vineland. The viewing will be held on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, and on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Church.
