Pinotti, Susan Victoria Vinckx 76 - of Vineland, NJ & Pine Island, Florida. Susan was called peacefully by God to be with her passed loved ones on Sunday, September 4, 2022 due to complications from pneumonia. Born on January 1, 1946 in Patterson, NJ, she was the devoted daughter of Frank and Aurelia Vinckx and beloved sister to Ronald P. Vinckx Sr. The family resided in New York City and Connecticut while working and living with the family of the late Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney on the C.V. Whitney Estate, Old Westbury, Long Island. In 1958 she moved with her family to the Alfred I. DuPont Estate (Nemours) in Wilmington, Delaware. Frank, her father was the personal, private chauffeur to Jessie Ball DuPont while her mother contributed to the restoration of the Nemours Mansion with tapestries and lace restoration. The family resided at Nemours, Wilmington, Delaware and Epping Forest, Jacksonville, Florida until her parents retirement in 1975. She was a graduate of Brandywine High School in 1964 and continued her studies in dental assisting working for Dr. Lawrence Jacobs. In 1967 she married Nicholas Mercante Sr. and had three beautiful children Victoria Mercante-Irwin - spouse, Seldon Irwin, Nicholas Mercante Jr - spouse, Erica Mercante and Stephanie Mercante-DeRose - spouse, Quinn DeRose. Though the marriage only lasted 18 years, the love and respect continued throughout Susan's life with the raising of their children. In 1987, she married the love of her life Louis Charles Pinotti of Vineland, NJ along with his two children, Stephanie Pinotti-Oster - spouse, Matt Oster and Charles Pinotti - spouse, Dawn Pinotti. The family grew with the union, and Susan and Louis loved all 5 children as their own.
Susan opened the Grooming House Dog Grooming in Vineland, NJ and had a successful business for many years before returning to dental assisting for Dr. Bruce Smith, where she retired. Louis and Susan shared many adventures throughout their marriage. Their passion for boating brought them to their home in Pine Island, Florida where they returned each winter for many years. She nurtured her key lime and mango trees in Pine Island and loved making jellies and jams to share with family and friends. They shared many nights having a gin and tonic, watching the sunset and listening for manatees entering the canal. Also a car enthusiast, Susan and Louis attended numerous car shows highlighting their prize possessions. Susan also had a love for horses where she was an avid equestrian since childhood and continued to ride after retirement. Her love for animals always brought her joy, and she was constantly surrounded by her beloved pets until her final day. Susans beauty and strength will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Surviving is her husband, children and treasured grandchildren; Jarod Mercante, Emily and Mason Mercante, Anthony DeRose, Louis and Ronnie Pinotti, Sarah and Lyndsay Oster.
