Sylvia Luyando, age 53 of Minotola, formerly of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 4, 2013 in Inspira Hospice Bridgeton. Sylvia was born in Brooklyn to the late Severanio and Virginia (Arocho) Rosa, and was a resident of Minotola for the past 7 years. She was employed by Assem Pak, Inc. in Vineland as a quality control inspector for 7 years. Sylvia was a member of the Rock of Salvation Church in Vineland for over 27 years, where she was a member of the worship team and chosen nation. Sylvia enjoyed gardening, volleyball, dominoes, singing and sharing time with her family and friends. Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Jose Luyando of Minotola. 2 daughters; Franchesca Luyando of Millville and Ashley Luyando of Minotola. Her granddaughter, Eliana Perez, her sister Nelida Rosa of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and 2 nephews. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8th at 10:00 am at the Rock of Salvation Church, 513 E. Grape St. Vineland, with Rev. Benjamin Ocasio officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery. The viewing will be on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Church and again on Friday from 9:00-10:00 am.
