Victor Manuel Oyola-Rivera, age 80, of Vineland went to be with the Lord, Saturday June 2nd in S.J. HealthCare, RMC. Victor was born in Cidra, P.R. to the late Jose and Carmen (Oyola) Rivera and lived in Vineland the past 36 years. He was a self-employed carpenter for many years and a longtime businessman owning several grocery stores in Vineland. He and his eldest son Victor "Cheo Cidra" opened the original Cidra Supermarket 35 years ago. Victor enjoyed life to the fullest. Victor was a devoted catholic and member of Divine Mercy Parish of Vineland and member of Cursillistas de Cristandad for 62 years. He enjoyed playing dominoes with family and friends. He also enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden. Victor will be sadly missed by all he loved and ones that were fortunate to know him. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years- Margarita (Rodriguez) Oyola of Vineland. Eight sons- Victor "Cheo Cidra" Oyola, Carlos Oyola, both of Vineland, Hector Oyola and his wife Ana of Coral Springs, Fla., Oscar Oyola and his wife Daisy of Egg Harbor Twp., Felix Oyola and his wife Julia of Vineland, Pablo Rivera of New Hampshire, Hector Rivera of Cidra, P.R. and Angel Rivera and his wife Grisel of Atlantic City. Six Daughters-Zoraida Vega and her husband Adalberto, Nelida Robles, Lucy Rodriguez and her husband Roberto, Nilsa Balbuena and her husband Eduardo, all of Vineland, Ruth Oyola of Kissimmee, Fla. And Elizabeth Balbuena and her husband Jorge of Vineland. Also many brothers, sisters, 33 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Victor was preceded in death by his son, Nelson Oyola and sisters, Ana and Julia Rivera and brothers, Modesto and Santos Rivera. Funeral liturgy will be held Saturday, June 9th at 10:00 am from Divine Mercy Church, 23 W. Chestnut Ave. Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
