Victor L. Sumner Jr., age 54 of Vineland, passed away after an extended illness on Sunday March 23, 2014, in Inspira HospiceCare, Bridgeton. Victor was born in Vineland to Alma (Miller) Sumner and the late Victor L. Sumner Sr. He graduated from Vineland High School, Class of 1978 and was a lifelong Vineland resident. Victor served in the US Airforce in the early 1980's ans was employed by Trump Plaza as a cage attendant for over 20 years. He enjoyed landscaping and gardening Victor was predeceased by his father Victor L. Sumner Sr. in 1997, and by his sister Debra Dickinson in 2011. Victor is survived by his mother, Alma B. Sumber of Vineland. His brother Lewis Sumner and wife Karie of Charlottesville, VA, his sister Linda Coblentz of Greenfield, MA and by his brother-in-law, Robert Dickinson of Vineland. Also by several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3rd at 11:00am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland, with Rev. Robert Velasquez officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery. The viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home.
